Features & Benefits

BUOY® is a spray of anti-frost materials which can be applied prior to anticipated frost conditions. BUOY® has been shown to afford some protection within several hours after application. However, best results require application 24 to 48 hours before frost conditions occur.

IMPORTANT: BUOY® is a tool to help reduce damage from frost. Its use is recommended in conjunction with sound cultural and management practices. The use of BUOY® on unhealthy plants and/or the misuse of BUOY® may produce deleterious results. BUOY® should not be applied to runoff as phytotoxicity may occur.

Principal Functioning Agents

  • Cryoprotectant and other frost protection materials: 60%
  • Inert Ingredients: 40% 

Recommended Rates​

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.

2 – 4 quarts per acre.

DO NOT APPLY BUOY® TO RUNOFF.

Do not apply BUOY® in combination with other spray materials and do not apply within 7 days of any basic copper formulation. Do not exceed 15% concentration of this material in water. Use extreme caution when applying BUOY® to rare and exotic plant species. Always use clean application equipment when applying BUOY®. It is important that equipment used for BUOY  applications be free from residue of previous materials. Re-apply BUOY® if rain occurs within 24 hours after application.
