PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONING AGENTS

N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT). Supplied by weight as:

N-(n-butyl)thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT): 26.7%

Dicyandiamide (DCD): 7.0%

FEATURES & BENEFITS

NBPT/DCD is a combination of two proven nitrogen additives for below and above ground enhancement of nitrogen from urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) and urea fertilizers. NBPT/DCD contains NBPT to minimize loss of nitrogen due to volatility from urea and DCD to minimize loss of nitrogen due to nitrification. NBPT/DCD keeps more nitrogen in the soil, available to the crop, and in a more desirable form for improved use of the nitrogen applied to your crop.

NBPT/DCD use rates are based on average soil conditions. Rates may be adjusted based on field conditions.

RECOMMENDED RATES

Fertilizer

Urea 1 - 3 Quarts/per ton

UAN 1 - 3 Quarts/per ton

UAN APPLICATION NBPT/DCD can be blended with UAN in storage tanks or just prior to application. Recirculate UAN in storage tanks prior to use if preblended.

UREA APPLICATION Applicators must wear proper PPE as indicated above. Use a fertilizer blender or other suitable rotary device when blending urea with NBPT/DCD. Ensure that all blender surfaces are clean and dry. NBPT/DCD must be applied and blended with urea first before blending with other fertilizer. Allow sufficient time to produce a uniformly blended product. Dye is added to NBPT/DCD to aid in determining uniformity of application.
